Merle Jam 2026 features Fast Johnny Ricker, Elwood & The Blues Masters, and Haley Burke and the Hawks. This annual concert fundraiser is a celebration of life through music. With multiple artists performing on three different stages, the event serves to put a face to the issue by showcasing the success of organ donation and honoring the donor families.
Fast Johnny Ricker
Fast Johnny Ricker is a Kansas City-based blues and rock guitarist known for his experimental style that blends psychedelic rock, Texas blues, and Delta blues traditions. He is also a slide guitar master who performs with a trio and is noted for his original music. His career in music began in the 1970s, and his genre is listed as modern electric blues.
Elwood & The Blues Masters
Elwood & The Blues Masters is an homage to The Blues Brothers, comprised of some of Kansas City’s finest Rhythm & Blues and Soul players, performing the legendary hits of Sam & Dave, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, and other great 60/70’s soul artists.
