The Kansas City Blues Society (KCBS) Board of Directors is seeking host bands for the monthly meetings and jam sessions throughout 2026. Each host band will be responsible for performing during the first hour of the event. To maintain the spirit and tradition of the blues, it is required that at least 75% of the music played by the host band is blues.
Monthly meetings and jam sessions will be held at a variety of venues across the metro area, including Murphy’s Corner in Lenexa, KS; The Hideout Bar & Grill in Gladstone, MO; Lotawana Brewing Company in Oak Grove, MO; Score Sports Bar & Grill in Independence, MO; and Hurricane Allie’s Bar & Grill in Shawnee, KS. Additional venues may be added as the year progresses.
