SUMMARY:Women in Blues 2026
DESCRIPTION:We are proud that this is our fifth year presenting the Women in Blues show in partnership with BB’s Lawnside BBQ. We created this event to spotlight women-led bands\, which are often underrepresented in the music world and don’t always receive the recognition they deserve. \n\n\n\nFeatured Performers\n\n\n\n\nThis year’s show opens with the talented Haley Burke and The Hawks and concludes with our headliner\, Lady Dee & The Shadow Daddys of Wichita\, Kansas. \n\n\n\nKnown for their high-energy blend of blues\, classic R&B\, Americana\, and gospel\, the band is powered by the commanding vocals of Deanna Custard (Lady Dee) and backed by the seasoned musicians of the Shadow Daddys\, led by regional journeyman Lynn Avants. Since first coming together in 2025\, this Midwest-based group has been winning over audiences across the region. \n\n\n\nLady Dee began her musical journey singing in her father’s church and touring the United States with her family’s gospel band. That foundation shaped her into a dynamic performer who is equally compelling on large stages and in intimate venues. The group’s versatility and strong connection with audiences set them apart\, drawing listeners into every performance. That personal touch has made them a favorite across the Midwest and keeps them in high demand wherever they appear.
